Obesity: world’s growing endemic

There is a rapid increase in cases of obesity in past two decades.

A lot of people want to lose weight to lose weight to look better, but also to reduce the risk of astonishing array of health problems.

 These are diabetes, heart attack, strokes arthritis, gall stone, thyroid disease.

The high rate of obesity is due to sedentary life style. When you don’t work out  than your basal metabolic rate reduce so the body burns less fat.

Exercise:

1. When you workout  the basal metabolic rate increases not while working out alone but while when you are at rest..
2. More you exercise more you burn out the calories.
3. When you exercise body releases endomorphins which elevates mood and reduces hunger pangs.
Just mere walk of 40 to 60 minutes a day is good in reducing the extra pounds of fat.

FIBER: Appetite suppressant

Gut stuffer:  Psyllium is rich in a special kind of gut stuffing fiber called mucilage , which expands to many times its dry size when immersed in the liquid that fills the digestive tract.
Taking psyllium supplement before meals helps in treatment of several conditions associated with obesity, including high cholesterol, diabetes and heart disease.

Beans : Beans are great gut stuffer. It is high in fiber, low in fat, high in protein.
Weed green: chick weed is also a gut stuffer.

Water : nutritional expert recommend drinking at least 8 ounce glasses of water a day just to stay hydrated  however gulping a glass at a time is not advisable. It is better to sip through out the day rather than having at once.

Mood booster: Walnuts are rich in tryptophan which is precursor of serotonin. Serotonin contributes to the regulation of mood and feeling of fullness.

Spinach, Mustard greens, Mung beans, asparagus, cauliflower, beans spout. These foods not only help boost serotonin levels in the brains, they are also high in fiber, vitamins, and mineral rich gut stuffer.

Aroma therapy: Inhaling essential oil like lavenders, lemon balsam, rosemary, and apricot. Get a small vial and fill it halfway mark with rock salt adds several drops of the essential oil. The salt absorbs the oil, helping to prevent spilling.

Thermogenesis: The two main thermo genesis enhancing compounds are caffeine and ephedrine.
Word of caution for use of thermogenic enhancer as it can cause insomnia, tremors and dizziness.
